2021
5th October: Managing Challenging Behaviour
Led by Luke Luke (CEO, Red Balloon Foundation)
Explore the basic principles of where challenging behaviour comes from when leading children's and youth groups and learn some practical ways that behaviours which become disruptive can be engaged with and transformed.
2nd November: Understanding Faith Development
Led by Ali Campbell (The Resource)
Faith is a journey and this session will help you understand the milestones on it and equip you to be able to shape your ministry effectively so everyone is being met and engaged with at the right level.
7th December: Reading and Owning a Space
Speaker TBC
Every time we walk into a space there is a physical and a spiritual dimension that we need to be aware of. In this session we will explore the skills necessary to be confident to lead - ideal for people who are new to children's and youth work or who want to build their ability to take control and lead sessions effectively. We will also be exploring effective communications with partners and parents/carers.
