The Parish Church cannot host its usual nativity service this year, so instead the greatest birthday story ever told has gone on Safari... there are episodes from the Nativity on posters in the windows of shops all the way down Station Road!
If you would like to join in (and win a tasty treat!) just follow these steps...
Start on the corner of Richmond Road (near Sam’s Fish and Chips) then walk down towards the station, looking in all the shop windows for Safari Nativity posters.
On each poster you find you’ll see a letter, and when you’ve visited all 11 windows you will be able to spell out a tasty secret word!
Cross over to the other side at the zebra crossing by the station then walking back up towards the church - there's more posters on that side too...
Visit the front entrance of St. Peter & St. Paul’s Church (opposite Co-Op, through the gate by the big Christmas tree) on Wednesday 16th or Friday 18th between 3 & 4:30pm and swap your secret word for a tasty treat.
And while you are there, pick up a FREE pack for our special online Christingle Service on 22nd December…!
You can download a copy of the map and instructions by clicking here...
While we cannot gather for our usual packed out Christingle service at the Parish Church this year, everyone is invited to join us for a fully interactive Virtual Christingle service on Zoom on Tuesday 22nd December at 4:30pm.
If you would like to take part, visit the front entrance of St. Peter & St. Paul’s Church (opposite Co-Op, through the gate by the big Christmas tree) on Wednesday 16th or Friday 18th between 3:30 & 4:30pm and collect your FREE Christingle pack with all the things you need to make a Christingle at home and the Zoom link to take part on the day.
To guarantee a pack is saved for your family, you can pre-order by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll put one aside for you to collect; otherwise it is first come, first served!
Monday Club will be restarting on 11th January (subject to COVID19 restrictions at the time).
From 3:30-4:45pm, our team will be offering COVID secure activities for family groups in the main church building - perfect to drop in for on your way home for some FREE fun art and craft, challenges, snacks, drinks and fun Bible stories!
Please note this is a 'stay and play' activity rather than 'drop and go' - the idea is that families complete the activities together at tables so everything can be brought to you to enjoy by our team so everyone stays within their household 'bubble'. Pre-registration essential as numbers limited.

Prayer club is a chance for the children to listen to different Bible stories, a reflective craft activity that are related to the Bible story we do each week. Then at Christmas and Easter they write and read out prayers at the end of term service. For the summer term we will look at one story for a few weeks and retell the story in front of Key stage 1 and parents which includes songs and prayers.
Currently meeting virtually but still having a brilliant time!
BBC choir youth is an opportunity for the young people who attend choir practice on a Friday night to build relationship and community as they engage with a number of different activities, sharing meals together and playing epic games and challenges.
Currently paused due to COVID19
Crossover is a project run in the junior school for year 6 to prepare them for the transition to secondary school. Throughout the weeks we follow the story of Moses’ life linking them to different themes they might experience. At the end of the course to foster greater independence and confidence the group are taken out into the local community to complete a challenge to fund and source the food for a celebration meal on a very small budget talking to as many local people and businesses as possible.
Due to restart in 2021...
RBF co-ordinate, prepare and deliver a seven-session course around access to Holy Communion each year for children who wish to explore communion further.
Next group will be running in 2021...
