Prayer club

Every Monday lunch time

12:00-12:30pm at Chingford CofE (Year 2s only)

Prayer club is a chance for the children to listen to different Bible stories, a reflective craft activity that are related to the Bible story we do each week. Then at Christmas and Easter they write and read out prayers at the end of term service. For the summer term we will look at one story for a few weeks and retell the story in front of Key stage 1 and parents which includes songs and prayers.

Crossover

Crossover is a project run in the junior school for year 6 to prepare them for the transition to secondary school. Throughout the weeks we follow the story of Moses’ life linking them to different themes they might experience. At the end of the course to foster greater independence and confidence the group are taken out into the local community to complete a challenge to fund and source the food for a celebration meal on a very small budget talking to as many local people and businesses as possible.

Communion prep

RBF co-ordinate, prepare and deliver a seven-session course around access to Holy Communion each year for children who wish to explore communion further.
