UBSMS Boxes of hope

Red Balloon Foundation are committed to supporting families who are experiencing hardship due to the COVID19 outbreak. We are delighted to be working with the Anglican churches of the United Benefice of Standon and the Mundens with Sacombe to offer 'Boxes of Hope' to local families during December 2020 and January/February 2021.

If you are interested in RBF working with your church or other organisation to develop a BalloonBox selection specific to your geographical area or specific network of supported families, or would like to commission RBF to deliver boxes to families connected to your chuch/organisation please contact resource@rbf.org.uk

How does THE UBSMS box of hope PROJECT work?

How do i get a box of hope?

Boxes of Hope are available to households who have been affected by the COVID 19 outbreak.

This might be a result of reduced income due to being furloughed or having working hours cuts, job losses, bereavement/illness, family breakdown or many other reasons.

If you are not experiencing hardship but would still like to receive a box (or if you live outside the Benefice), they are also available to purchase - just contact resource@rbf.org.uk with your request and we would be happy to help.

How do i show i've been affected by Covid19?

We understand that there is no 'one size fits all' criteria as COVID19 has affected every family differently. When you order your box, you will be asked to either provide copies of document(s) relating to your current situation or, where you do not yet have anything in writing, to briefly 'tell us your story' on the order form just so we can ensure the boxes reach those most in need.

Please note that free boxes are initially limited to one per household to ensure we can support as many families as possible.

HOW CAN I support box of hope?

Please tick the box to add Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer and also tick to say you are happy for your details to be shared with RBF so we can ensure your donation reaches exactly the part of UBSMS Boxes of Hope that you want it to.

UBSMS BOX OF HOPE

A UBSMS Box of Hope contains a variety of staple groceries including tinned foods, tea/coffee, cereal, rice, pasta, toiletries and cleaning supplies plus sanitary & baby products (where required).

Initially households will be able to request a single box, then once we have evaluated the demand for the scheme we will offer further boxes.

The scheme is perfect for households for whom affording or getting out to do the weekly shop at the moment is a challenge because of how COVID19 has affected them.
