Check out our current volunteering opportunities below. For most roles no previous experience is required and full appropriate training and support is offered. We are happy to receive requests for those completing Duke of Edinburgh awards, looking to build their CV or just passionate to help out in their local community.

We welcome applications from people of any age although we would encourage people to consider volunteering at least once a month as it can be difficult to build connections when volunteering less frequently. All volunteering is subject to our Safer Recruitment Policy and will require us, where appropriate, to take up references and complete a free DBS check.

In addition, as a registered college within the ASDAN network, RBF can offer people who volunteer with us who complete a portfolio about their experiences and a few tasks which develop their volunteering experience with a nationally recognised award. If you are interested in completing the award, let us know on your application form.

Little Angels Toddler group

Partnership project between RBF and Christ church Wanstead

Little Angels happens on Wednesday mornings and is packed with wonderful families with their under 5's. It wouldn't be the same without the most vital element of any toddler group - the refreshments!

We need some extra help serving all the families and making them feel welcomed! If you can boil a kettle and like a natter then we would love to have you on the team.

Monday Club

Monday Club is a fun and vibrant after school club and the children there absolutely love cheese toasties and chocolate biscuits! We need some help keeping up so if you're able to make some cheese toasties and monitor the biscuit intake we would love to have you as part of the team.

Partnership project between RBF and St. John's Leytonstone

Youth Leader

Do you love hot chocolate? Deep discussions? And want to help fan the flame of a young person's faith? At St John's Leytonstone we're looking for volunteers to help lead our youth group. Each week we go to a cafe to grab a drink, we play a game, and then spend some time discussing a short passage in the Bible. The young people have some great questions, so now we need some people with great answers - and that could be you!

The Bridge

Football player

Every other Friday we host a group of wonderful young people at the Bridge youth club. They have a keen passion for football and we need a volunteer who's happy to have a kick about and could teach them a trick or two!

Who Let the dads out

Partnership project between RBF and St Peter in the Forest

Set up & Pack down team member

Every 4th Saturday of the month we set up a soft play and activity session for under 5's and their male carers. We need help setting up all of the toys and refreshments and packing it all away again.

If you're free on a Saturday and able to help we'd love to have you join the team.
